In a scathing attack, BJP leader and defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman slammed Congress president Rahul Gandhi after he claimed that the top court has made it “clear” that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had 'committed a theft' in the Rafale case. The BJP leader said, "The Congress president probably doesn't read even half a paragraph of the court's order, but here, by saying that the court has said 'chowkidar chor hai', it is verging on contempt of court." The president of a party which has been in power for so many years has shown his frustration by attributing words to the apex which were not uttered, defence minister Sitharaman said. Earlier, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that "SC has made it clear that 'chowkidarji' (watchman) has committed a theft."
