Rourkela: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik and BJD president undertook a whirlwind tour of Sundargarh district on Wednesday, addressing five public meetings and two road shows. He covered all seven assembly constituencies under the Sundargarh LS seat.
Naveen addressed public meetings in Sundargarh Sadar, Talsara, Rajgangpur, Bonei, and Biramitrapur constituencies and attended road shows in Rourkela and Raghunathpalli.
Besides delivering a scathing attack on BJP and Congress, he spoke about the success of the Men’s Hockey World Cup held in Bhubaneswar. “Sundargarh is the cradle of hockey in the country. To promote the game, my government organised the world cup,” he said.
He raised the issue of the second Brahmani bridge and a super speciality hospital at IGH. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had assured the people of Rourkela of the second Brahmani bridge and super speciality hospital, but there is no sign of these two projects,” he said.
