Congress President Rahul Gandhi filed his nomination from the Amethi Lok Sabha constituency on Wednesday, 10 April, in the presence of Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Robert Vadra.

The Congress chief held a road show in the constituency earlier along with his sister and her family.

Amethi goes to polls in the fifth phase on 6 May.

Meanwhile, Sonia Gandhi is expected to file her nomination from the Raebareli constituency on Thursday.

Rahul Gandhi is holding a massive roadshow in Amethi before filing his nomination from the constituency. The Congress chief is accompanied by Priyanka Gandhi and her husband Robert Vadra, along with their children.

CM Yogi to Visit Amethi to Accompany Irani During Nomination Filing

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be visiting Amethi on Thursday where he will accompany Union Minister and BJP candidate Smriti Irani, who will be filing her nomination papers, a party spokesperson cited by PTI said.

The chief minister will also participate in a roadshow before the nomination and later address an election meeting, BJP's Amethi media in-charge Govind Singh said.

Irani was to file her nomination on 17 April, but since it is a holiday, she will now file the papers on 11 April.
