Flower tours attracting tourists in Xinjiang

Wang Ziyang, whose tourism company runs tours to a scenic area featuring apricot flowers in Xinyuan County mentioned that they received more than 10,000 tourists during the first day of the Tomb-sweeping Day holiday.

 

He went on saying  that they added helicopter tours this year so that tourists can view the flowers at different angles and upgraded the tourism facilities at the tourist attraction.

 

Wang said that in the past few days the area had more than 30,000 tourists

 

Tourists from several parts of China came to Xinjiang  to see the beauty of the apricot flower.

 

A tourist , Ouyang Yiyu, from eastern China’s Fujian Province said that it was a blooming season, and  her friends were amazed by the pictures she posted on social media.

 

Locals were able to cash in on family inn  businesses through the flower tours.

So far there are 28 rural family inns in the township and around 2,000 yuan can be raked in by one family inn  each day on an average as per Hizat, an official with Turgen Township, under the jurisdiction of Xinyuan.

 

Special trains were launched for the  flower tours in Xinjiang to cater to the tourism boom.

 

To power the local tourism economy during spring the Xinjiang authorities have launched 342 tourism activities.
