New Karizma Or Faired Xtreme 200R?

The video reveals that Hero Motocorp is going to come up with a new faired bike, but the question arises what model is it going to be. Is it going to be a Karizma or simply a faired version of the relatively new launched Xtreme 200R?

The bike in the video is a fully faired bike and looks a lot similar to HX250R concept which was displayed in 2014 at the Auto Expo 2014. The paint is red in color and is devoid of any stickering apart from the ABS monikers on the front fork and a Hero badge on the side panel.

It sports a halogen headlamp unit and a black front visor. The video also reveals the completely digital instrument console. We speculate that the bike will share the same engine as the Hero Xtreme 200R, which is a 199.6cc, single cylinder mill. It produces a power of 18.4 BHP and 17.1Nm of torque. The gearbox on Xtreme 200R is a 5-speed unit. The stickering of ABS on the front forks revels that the bike will be big on safety and may offer ABS as standard.

It can be speculated by looking a the console which resembles the unit on XPulse 200 and 200T that the faired bike in question will be based on the Xtreme 200R. As the Hero Xtreme 200R is the base inspiration behind Xpulse range. We hope to see the bike in April as the video suggests that it is production ready.
