Voters’ awareness campaign launched

Nagpur: A voter’s awareness campaign in Nagpur-Ramtek constituency was inaugurated by district collector and Returning Officer Ashwin Mudgal in city under the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation Programme (SVEEP) on Monday. It’s a joint venture of Regional Outreach Bureau, Pune, Maharashtra and Goa Regions, ministry of information and broadcasting and Maharashtra state chief electoral office.
Deputy collector and returning officer Rajlakshmi Shah, election nodal officer (Nagpur) Rajendra Bhoyar, assistant director of regional outreach bureau Mina Jaitley, naib tehsildar Ashwini Jadhav, extension officer Sheshrao Chavan, district information officer Anil Gadekar and Vinay Bagle from municipal corporation’s education department were present during the occasion. tnn
A carriage was prepared for the campaign which conveyed messages such as ‘Vote and Celebrate Democracy’, ‘Know your constituency’s election dates’ and ‘Vote without fail’. The carriage will be rallied through various Lok Sabha constituencies along with a team of street play artists. A team of information and broadcasting ministry will also be following the carriage to various places spreading the message to vote among the citizens.
The campaign was kick-started by Mudgal by cutting the ribbon. Jaitley informed about the campaign in detail while Mudgal also urged the citizens to vote enthusiastically. Moreshwar Dandare from Rangadhun Kalamanch, Nutan Morey and other employees of collector’s office were also present. TNN
