YSRCP leader Sharmila on Monday appealed to people to vote for Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy saying that the party, if voted to power, would bring back the ‘Rajanna Rajyam’.
“Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reneged on most of the promises he had made in the run-up to the 2014 elections. The promises of transforming Visakhapatnam into an IT hub, launching of Metro Rail, establishing of botanical gardens and others remain on the paper,” Ms. Sharmila alleged at a public meeting at Kancharapalem.
‘IT sector on reverse gear’
Despite MoUs were signed during the Partnerships Summits, no job has been generated. IT industry is in a ‘reverse gear’, she said and alleged that the DWACRA women were cheated as their loans were not waived off. Though ₹2,500 crore has been released for capital, not even a single permanent building has been constructed so far.
Ms. Sharmila said that though Mr. Naidu had sailed with the BJP for four years, he failed to get Special Category Status to the State. YSRCP nominees K.K. Raju and Malla Vijay Prasad respectively were also present.
