Shanghai: China will produce an additional 100 million tonnes of coal in 2019, an industry official said on Tuesday, creating a glut of the fuel in the world's top consumer of the commodity.China produced 4 billion tonnes of coal in 2018, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
The market will see oversupply in the near future, Wang Hongqiao, vice president at the China National Coal Association told an industry conference.
