Ludhiana, April 9, 2019: Dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, AIG Punjab Police & advisor to DGP Punjab Mr Iqbal Singh Gill on Monday inaugurated a tree plantation drive in village Churwal near Meharban, near here. This tree plantation drive was organised by Bhai Ghanaiya Charitable Trust & Public Sewa Society Sewa Panthi Dera Baddowal and Punjabi Cultural Council. 550 tree saplings were planted in village Churwal.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Iqbal Singh Gill said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave a message of peace, communal harmony and saving our environment more than five centuries ago. Sant Jaspal Singh Baddowal, head of Bhai Ghanaiya Charitable Trust and Mr Jaswant Singh Chhapa, Vice Chairman, Punjabi Cultural Council honoured Mr Iqbal Singh Gill on the occasion.
A large number of area residents were present on the occasion.
