Kharge comes down heavily on Modi

Congress leader in Lok Sabha M. Mallikarjun Kharge has criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s words and deeds by stating that he behaved like a lion outside Parliament and hid like a cat inside it.

In his election campaign at Ijeri village in Yadrami taluk, Kalaburagi district, the Congress veteran said that Mr. Modi had spoken only 25 hours and 25 minutes inside Parliament in the last five years.

“He is among those members who have spoken very less in Parliament, whereas I stand among those who spoke more. Mr. Modi has never dared to speak to his political opponents,” he alleged.

Attacking the Prime Minister further on his remarks about patriotism, Mr. Kharge said that Mr. Modi was eight years younger to him and still tried to teach him a lesson on patriotism.

“Mr. Modi’s report card shows that he has failed in all counts. The chowkidar is in sound sleep. We belong to the party that had fought for India’s freedom. He was born after Independence and knows nothing about the struggles and sacrifices of Congress for India’s freedom,” he said and questioned how many of RSS people had participated in India’s freedom movement and how many of them had sacrificed their lives for the cause.
