The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Tuesday directed government-aided schools not to make any fresh appointment of teachers until surplus teachers under their management were exhausted.
A Division Bench of Justices N. Kirubakaran and S. S. Sundar directed the State not to approve any fresh appointments. The court also ordered biometric attendance for both students and teachers at aided schools.
The court passed the set of directions while hearing a batch of writ appeals preferred by the State. The case was adjourned for further hearing till April 15.
