Man in Assam beaten up for 'selling beef'

Picture for representational purpose only.GUWAHATI: Assam Police have registered an FIR based on a video clip that went viral on social media showing a Muslim man being allegedly beaten up by a mob for selling beef at Biswanath in Assam.
Police said they are also trying to ascertain the authenticity of the video clip.
"Since there was an FIR by the brother of the man shown in the video, we have registered it and started the investigation. But, we also need to find if the video is authentic," a source said.
