As we look forward to the end of Game of Thrones, it's also a good time to think back on where it all began -- not just because some actors have hinted that there'll be major callbacks to the first season ahead in the show's final episodes, but because it's fun to see just how far our favorite characters have come since we first met them.

Game of Thrones' very first episode, titled "Winter Is Coming," was where we first met all of the Starks, most of the Lannisters, and some of the Targaryens. And although a lot has changed since then -- and the ranks of each family have since thinned out quite a bit, R.I.P. -- certain parts of the pilot set up plot points that are still very relevant in Season 8.

Surely, you still remember the first time you heard about White Walkers from that petrified Night's Watchman and the consequences of the first time Bran Stark saw something he wasn't supposed to see. But if you really want to test your memory of the show's maiden screen voyage, take this quiz below to test how well you can remember some of the first characters that came and went from the show. Do be warned, though: You pretty much need a Three-Eyed Raven level of recall skills to correctly identify all of these Game of Thrones pilot characters.
