Man ‘abducted’ over road rage

AHMEDABAD: A 25-year-old woman on Tuesday filed a complaint with Nikol police stating that her younger brother was abducted by unknown men over a road rage in Viratnagar on Monday night.
Complainant, Punam Baghel, a resident of Viratnagar and native of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, stated before Nikol police that she got a call from her brother Yogesh Baghel (22), an autorickshaw driver, who told her that he was being thrashed by four men after he met with an accident with a bike-rider.
“Yogesh was telling me that four persons were taking him to Khodiyarnagar area. I along with my brother’s friend, Ravi went to that area where in four persons were badly thrashing my brother. When I pleaded before them to leave my brother, they asked for Rs 40,000 for the damage occurred during the accident,” stated the complainant.
Punam asked the men that she would arrange the money by Tuesday morning but they did not listen to her and threatened to kill Yogesh if she does not manage the money immediately. Scared with this, she went to her home and called up police. After a while, two police vehicles rushed there along with her, they did not find her brother nor the persons who were beating him. After this, she filed a complaint of abduction and assault against four unknown persons.
