It will be a test of character for Sindhu at Singapore Open

Singapore, It will be a test of character for ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu when the Olympic silver medallist begins her opening campaign at the Singapore Open starting Tuesday after her recent bad performance at major tournaments.

The fourth seed Sindhu clinched BWF World Tour finals in December last year is not in her best shape for last few weeks.

Sindhu lost to her opponents in prestigious tournaments like All England Championship crashing out in the very first round and then going down in the second round of Malaysian Open to same opponent Korea’s Sung Ji Hyun on both occasions.

In the India Open she progressed to semi-finals, but lost to He China’s Bingjiao.

With little time left for Sindhu to work on her shortcomings and seeing the busy schedule in the BWF calendar it will be tough for her to regain her form as she takes on opening match against Indonesia’s Lyanny Alessandra Mainaky.
