This cultural fest in Banaras was one rocking affair!

Spandan, the annual inter-faculty cultural festival of Banaras Hindu University had the campus buzzing with a lot of activity. A scene from the play by Faculty Of Arts (BCCL/ Arvind Kumar)
The five-day fest had an array of events that showcased the talent of the students. The musical presentations were a combination of folk and patriotic songs. The Science faculty students presented a Rajasthani dance on the theme of Padmaavat. The rangoli competitions infused a feel of festivity, as Diwali theme was depicted in some creations.

Some of the performances were clubbed with a social message, especially the short play competition. Right from issues like safety measure on roads to the exploitation of women figured in these plays.
