Boomers' Wilson quits basketball for AFL career
Australian Boomers representative Tom Wilson has quit the Sydney Kings and the NBL to chase an AFL career.
Six weeks after making his debut for the national team, the 21-year-old has cut ties with the Kings to make the transition to Australian rules football.
"He's a fantastic young talent, a great person, and it's no surprise that another sport would be chasing him," Sydney Kings CEO Chris Pongrass said in a statement.
