BARWANI: With Lok Sabha elections round the corner, activities encouraging voters both from administration and locals at its peak. In one of its goodwill gesture, 69-yearold son along with his 92-year-old father took a pledge to vote together at Babdad village in Sendhwa town of Barwani district. SVEEP assistant nodal officer Dr Suresh Kaan and Anis Sheikh said 92-year-old Shankar Umar Jagtap and his 69-year-old Laxman Jagtap took an oath for a vote together while officer conducting SVEEP activities there.
Shankar and his son Laxman’s enthusiasm not only encouraged others but will bring many voters to the polling station in future. Not only a father-son duo, but they also promised officers that they will take every eligible member of their family to vote on May 19. Praising Shankar and Laxman’s effort, the officer quoted them the best messengers and ambassadors.
