Pose officially has a Season 2 premiere date!

The new season will premiere Sunday, June 9 at 9/8c on FX, and it will flash-forward in time to 1990, when the ballroom community had become more mainstream and embedded itself in pop culture. With the AIDS crisis getting worse rather than better though, Season 2 will explore the role of activists and their reaction to the crisis at large.

After a critically acclaimed first season, the show's next installment promises to dive deeper into Blanca's HIV-positive diagnosis and various developments in these characters' lives during the time jump. Ryan Murphy also told E! that Madonna and the release of "Vogue" in 1990 will definitely play a part in the season.
