Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Live Updates

India is awaiting a new government and in the run up to the Lok Sabha polls 2019, campaigners and warriors belonging to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rahul Gandhi's Congress have got battle-ready. Keeping up with this, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday is all set to release its party manifesto for the upcoming general elections, that are scheduled to begin from April 11.

Issues of development and national security are said to be the BJP's key highlights. Top party leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah will be present at the launch of the manifesto, described by the BJP as its "sankalp patra".

Meanwhile, with just four days to go for voting in western Uttar Pradesh in the first phase of the Lok Sabha polls, the ruling BJP and the Congress will hold mega rallies in several parts of the region on Monday.

Union Minister and senior BJP leader JP Nadda will hold public meetings in Meerut, Bijnor and Saharanpur Lok Sabha constituencies, while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address publics meeting in Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Kairana and Baghpat constituencies. Catch the latest updates here.
