Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index rises; CG Power gains 3%

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.18 per cent up at 18,395.75 around 12:47 pm.

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading higher in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of Kalpataru Power Transmissions (up 3.49 per cent), CG Power and Industrial Solutions (up 3.10 per cent), ABB India (up 2.78 per cent), and NBCC (India) (up 2.74 per cent) were trading higher.

BEML (down 2.00 per cent), GE T&D India (down 1.72 per cent), Dilip Buildcon (down 0.79 per cent) and Sadbhav Engineering (down 0.68 per cent) were trading with losses.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.18 per cent up at 18,395.75 around 12:47 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 38.80 points at 11,627.15 while the BSE Sensex was down 87.61 points at 38,774.62.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.

Shares of Reliance Communications, South Indian Bank, Vodafone Idea, DLF, DHFL, Indiabulls RE, PC Jeweller, Suzlon Energy, Vakrangee, Welspun India, SAIL, Adani Power, Jet Airways, IDBI Bank, NBCC, PNB, Reliance Power, Jai Corp, YES Bank and Indiabulls Housing Finance were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
