Ishar Nagar resident held with drugs
Division 7 police caught Vinay Dhingra of Ishar Nagar with drugs, when they were out on a routine check on Saturday near Vardhman Sabzi Mandi road. Vinay was walking towards the checkpoint, when he was stopped by the cops, who found 400g heroin on him. A case was registered against him under 21-61-85 of the NDPS Act.

Mobike stolen from outside Rakh Bagh

Division 8 police registered a case under Section 379 (punishment for theft) against an unidentified person for allegedly stealing a two-wheeler from outside the Rakh Bagh between 8 and 9pm on April 2. The victim, Abdul Ansari, said he parked his motorcycle outside Rakh Bagh near 8pm, and went for a walk inside the park. After an hour, when he came out, he found his bike missing.

2 arrested for snatching mobile phone


Sarabha Nagar police arrested Gobind Ram and Gurpreet Singh of Adarsh Colony for allegedly snatching the mobile phone of Shimlapuri resident Kamaljeet Kaur. In her complaint, Kamaljeet said she was returning home on foot from her office on Ferozepur Road when the accused came from behind and snatched her phone, after pointing a sharped-edged weapon at her stomach. Cops registered a case against the accused under section 379-B (punishment for snatching) of the IPC.


Mobike stolen near gurdwara


Model Town police station registered a case under Section 379 (punishment for theft) of the IPC against an unidentified person for allegedly stealing the motorcycle of a Shastri Nagar resident. In his complaint, Papinder Singh (46) said on Tuesday at 4.30pm, he went to a gurdwara, but when he returned, his bike was missing.
