Karelibaug Sex Racket: Cops on lookout for more accused

Vadodara: Investigations in the prostitution racket busted in MIG flats in Karelibaug have revealed names of two more persons living in the city who used to supply commercial sex workers to the three accused held on Saturday and Sunday.
According to police, the two accused arrested from the MIG flats — Anna alias Emtij alias Imtiyaz Sheikh and Vijay alias Brijendra alias Brajendra Gupta — revealed during interrogation that Ankit Rathod, a resident of Somatalav area and Bhikho Vanani, who lives in Jambuva, also used to supply commercial sex workers.
Cops are yet to know the sources of sex workers of Rathod and Vanani and the dealings they used to have Sheikh and Gupta. When police checked their house, the duo had already fled.
Besides Rathod and Vanani, the arrested accused used to bring commercial sex workers from Surat. Police said that their point of contact in Surat is one Al Amin. Gupta and Sheikh told police that except for his name they do not know much about Amin.
Police are also investigating whether Rathod, Amin and Vanani were also the sources for Sunita Kori who was arrested from her home in Chhani on Sunday.
Police produced Gupta and Sheikh in a local court on Monday seeking their custody for five days. The court granted their custody for two days.
Police said that the arrested duo will be taken to Surat to nab Amin and will also be interrogated further to extract details about Rathod and Vanani.
