Samantha Akkineni, Naga Chaitanya and director Shiva Nirvana celebrated the success of Majili in Hyderabad on Sunday evening. The film, which released on April 5, has been receiving an overwhelming response from the audience.
At the success meet, Samantha revealed how keen she was to know the audience's take on Majili. She said, "On the release date, I could not sleep after 2 am. I kept waiting to know the verdict of the audience. As soon as the verdict came out, I was in tears. That is how important a film is for an artiste. It is equivalent to life and death matter. Had it failed, I did not know what answer I was supposed to give to Chaitanya because I believed in the director, every scene and dialogue."
She said the film's response has made her extremely happy as a wife. "I am so proud Chaitanya is getting such a good response. It is the best kind of happiness as a wife. Thanks Shiva Nirvana for this film. It will be very special for me after Ye Maya Chesaave," the actor said.
Naga Chaitanya said, "When he (Shiva) narrated me the script for the first time, I got excited about it. I am happy that the audience also related to it. After a long time, I am satisfied as an actor. I had all the faith in Shiva that he will make me grow as an actor."
Director Shiva Nirvana said for the first time he has received texts and messages from different people stating how they related to the film on different levels.
Apart from Shiva, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, the success meet also saw the presence of Divyansha Kaushik, Rao Ramesh, Posani Krishna Murali and others.
