Varun Gandhi, a member of Parliament for Lok Sabha from Sultanpur constituency, on Sunday, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said "PM lives for the country and will die for the country."
“From my family too, some people served as the PM of the country. But the respect which Modi has brought to this country was not done by any other person, since a long time. PM lives for the country and will die for the country. He is concerned for the country,” ANI quoted Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Varun Gandhi as saying, in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh.
Varun Gandhi gave the statement during campaigning for the party for the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
The general elections are scheduled to be held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. The counting of votes will be conducted on 23 May, and on the same day, the results will be declared.
Legislative Assembly elections in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim will be held simultaneously with the general election.
