Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan has said the party will initiate measures to revive the past glory of the Tummapala sugar gactory in Anakapalle within 18 months, if the party is voted to power. He was addressing a public meeting Anakapalle on Sunday.
Mr. Pawan Kalyan promised setting up of special units for the export of jaggery. The Jana Sena chief also promised action against illegal quarries in the Anakapalle region to check pollution.
Though Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao was the MP for five years, he failed to get sanctioned funds even for an underpass at Anakapalle railway station. He also blamed the local politicians for lack of development in the region.
Taking potshots at YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the actor-turned-politician said the former stated that he would work with Telanagana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for achieving special status for Andhra Pradesh. In such a case, “Can he make Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao to issue a statement on it?, he questioned. The Jana Sena chief appealed to the public to vote the party candidate for Lok Sabha Pardhasaradhi.
