Two caught, four more to be arrested for abducting and demanding money

Surat: Police have detained two for abducting, threatening to kill a man’s son and demanding Rs 30 lakh in Varachha area of the city on Monday. Main accused and three more are still at large. Mahesh Italiya , was abducted by five persons allegedly sent by Munna Bapu on April 07. He was taken to a building in Palanpur Patiya area and was locked up and beaten up. Italiya was asked to cough up Rs 30 lakh of some shady financial dealing in which he worked as a middle man, with a threat that his son would be killed, if he didn’t comply. Italiya went to police after he was let go in the evening. tnn
