Fattal Hotel Group has announced its latest UK property, set to open in within the Glassfields development in Bristol.

The 200-room hotel will include a restaurant, bar and meeting space, and will be managed by Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland, although it has not yet been confirmed which brand the property will operate under.

The mixed use Glassfields development (the name referring to the site’s former use as the original glassworks of the ‘Bristol Blue’ manufacturing industry) is located on Temple Way close to Temple Meads station.

The Bristol property is the latest location to be announced by Fattal, which is steadily growing its presence in the UK and Ireland.

Last month the group announced plans to add four central London properties to its growing UK portfolio, acquiring long-term leases on four existing Grange Hotels, which will be refurbished and rebranded under its Leonardo and Nyx brands.

In 2018 Fattal unveiled plans to expand an existing Jurys Inn property in Edinburgh, as well as adding a Nyx hotel on adjacent land, as well as announcing plans for two Manchester properties, including a rebranding of the iconic Midland Hotel under its Leonardo offering.

The group recently took over the management of the Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton, again under its Leonardo brand.

Commenting on the news Jason Carruthers, Managing Director of Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland, said:

“This is a truly exciting time as we expand our offering in the UK with this key site in a major city like Bristol. Our group of hotels are well-known for their great facilities and excellent customer service, which as individual brands and collectively, continue to perform very strongly.

“2018 was another year of substantial growth for Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland, and we have ambitious plans to continue this in 2019 across the group as we offer an exceptional experience, in fantastic city centre locations across the UK.

“We continue to look to grow and strengthen the Leonardo brand and hotel network and will pursue further appropriate and commercially attractive new potential development and acquisition opportunities as they arise.”
