The transaction of the KIIFB masala bonds has been made in a transparent way with due permission from the RBI, CPI(M) State secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishan has said.
Addressing media persons in Kottayam on Monday, Mr. Balakrishnan said the CDPQ company, from which the State government received investments, is a company having investments all across the globe including India.
“They have a total investment worth over 220 billion US dollars including 4.5 billion US dollars in India. The company has also invested in the shares of the National Infrastructure Fund Board, which comes under the Union government,” he pointed out.
Meanwhile, Mr.Balakrishnan also lashed out at the Congress for its meek resistance to the BJP’s attack on the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
On the occasion, he also turned against the Central government for blocking the funds towards implementation of the MGNREGS programme.
