Byreddy Rajasekar Reddy on Sunday announced his decision to support Kurnool TDP MLA candidate T.G Bharath.

Addressing a press conference at the Kurnool Convention Centre, Mr. Reddy said that Mr. Bharath would prove to be an effective leader and appealed to the Muslim minorities to vote for him.

Mr. Reddy said that welfare schemes spearheaded by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu proved to be effective in empowering the Muslim community. “Mr. Naidu has been electioneering well,” he added.

Speaking after him, Mr. Bharath lauded Mr. Reddy and called him “one of the tallest leaders in Rayalaseema”. He then added that YSRCP activists had been “spreading slow poison” in the name of caste and communal politics, and said that this would not be good for the State in the long run.

Slams YSRCP

Mr. Reddy said that the poll management of Mr. Jagan has not been up to the mark and added that the latter did not have the experience to run a State.

Mr. Reddy later shifted his focus to sitting Kurnool MLA S.V. Mohan Reddy, and said that he had a tendency to defect from parties.Mr. Bharath accused YSRCP’s Hafeez Khan of aiding in the spread of communal politics.
