Police personnel cast their votes via postal ballot system on Sunday.

The postal ballot facility would be available to 2,221 personnel who would be deployed for security including police, fire and rescue services and Home Guard.

SP Murali Rambha cast the first vote at Kamaraj College. A polling booth had been created for each Assembly segment.

Meanwhile, the second phase of training for polling officials took place across the district. Collector and District Election Officer gave instructions to the personnel at the training programme organised at Assembly segments.
