Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president M.K. Stalin on Saturday predicted the downfall of the AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu once there was a change of guard at the Centre.
Campaigning for Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi candidate D. Ravikumar in Villupuram Lok Sabha constituency, the DMK leader said the AIADMK government would go within seconds of a new dispensation coming at the Centre after the Lok Sabha polls.
“With one stone, an autocratic government at the Centre and an ineffective government in Tamil Nadu can be overthrown. It will be our government here and the one which is supported by us at the Centre,” he said. The party was confident of securing all the 40 seats, including the one in the Union Territory, in the Lok Sabha polls, Mr. Stalin added.
Mr. Stalin, while canvassing for party candidate Gautham Sigamani from Kallakurichi on Friday night, lashed out at the AIADMK, the PMK and the BJP.
The PMK, which had been very critical of the AIADMK in recent times, made a sudden U-turn and entered into an unholy alliance with the ruling party, he said.
