The Bhartiya Janta Party has taken collectors of three districts on its radar in view of the ensuing Lok Sabha election and has complained against them with the election commission. BJP demanded that collectors of Sehore, Seoni Malwa and Morena be shifted. The complaint by the BJP states that Sehore collector has given clean chit to Congress candidate from Bhopal Digvijaya Singh in case related to distributing of currency notes to beggars outside a temple.
In the complaint, BJP has also demanded a copy of report given by the Sehore collector Ganesh Shankar Mishra and subsequent order given by the election commission. According to complaint collector of Seoni Malwa Praveen Singh and SP Lalit Shakyavar had dinner with Congress leaders including Sukhdev Panse, Mohan Chandel and Rajnish Singh.
The dinner bill was footed by the PWD department. BJP said that the Congress leaders directed the collector and SP on various issues, which is a clear violation of model code of conduct. BJP said that Morena collector Priyanka Das has given clean chit to Kailaras Janpad Panchayat CEO MP Singh despite being found guilty of poll code violation. BJP demanded re-inquiry into the matter and removal of collector.
