Ahmedabad temperature stabilizes at 41°C on Saturday

AHMEDABAD: The city on Saturday recorded a maximum temperature of 41°C. Ahmedabad was the fourth hottest place in Gujarat after Surendranagar (42°C), Rajkot (41.9°C) and Kandla (41.1°C). Amreli also recorded 41°C.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, temperatures are likely to remain the same for the next two to three days. On Saturday, no heatwave was recorded in the state, the IMD website said. “Heatwave conditions are very likely at isolated pockets in the districts of Surendranagar, Amreli and Kutch on April 9 and 10,” the website said. While 41°C was 2.2 degrees above normal, the minimum temperature dipped to 22.1°C, 0.9 degrees below normal.
