2 held with illegal arms in Etawah

Kanpur: Two persons, identified as Sunil Kumar and Kishan Pal, residents of Etah, were arrested with eight country-made pistols and ten cartridges in Etawah district on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
“As the elections are round the corner, they were making firearms following demands from anti-social elements. They also have a past record of making illegal weapons. Three cases under the Arms Act are pending against them at various police stations of the district,” said inspector Kotwali police station Pramod Shukla.
“On the basis of a tip-off, a police team of Kotwali police station conducted a raid at a thatched house near the grave of Beehad Wale Syed Bab”, the inspector said.
