Congress-NCP alliance organises ‘foot-march’

Pune: Pune Lok Sabha candidate of Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) alliance Mohan Joshi kick-started his road procession on the occasion of Gudhi Padwa from Bhavani Mata Temple at 9 am. During his road procession, he criticised Girish Bapat, Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) candidate and called him a hypocrite. During the procession, he said that just like Mumbai, Pune is also a city of great importance. He added that BJP has become a speed breaker in the development of Pune.
 
Joshi criticised Bapat  and said that he could not implement plans for the development of Pune. He said that BJP leaders have failed to bring development funds from the Centre and the state for the development.
 
The road procession ended at Kasevadi Sri Krishna temple before visiting places like Juna Motors Stand Chowk, Saint Kabir Chowk - Chudaman Talim Chowk.

In the second round, former minister Nitin Raut, City Congress unit chief Ramesh Bagwe, NCP President Chetan Tupe, Vandana Chavan, Senior leader Ulhasadada Pawar participated.
 
City Congress President Ramesh Bagwe said that during the Modi government, inflation has gone up. Bagwe said that due to this, people have expressed their confidence and determination to overthrow the Modi government from the Centre.
