In a shocking display of high handedness, Congress workers thrashed photojournalists who were allegedly clicking pictures of empty chairs at a party election meeting in Tamil Nadu’s Virudhnagar. The entire incident was caught on camera. The party workers slapped journalists and tried to snatch their cameras. A few journalists, who were present on the spot, also intervened and a ruckus broke out. The meeting was attended by the president of Tamil Nadu Pradesh Congress Committee and other senior party leaders.
