Panchkula: Woman accuses parents of kidnapping

PANCHKULA: A woman levelled allegations against her parents for kidnapping, thrashing and snatching her diamond pendant and forcing her to live with her husband. She said they also threatened to kill her if she denies their orders.
The victim also alleged that SHO of MDC police station did not register any case and she had to appear before the Haryana DGP.
As per the complaint, Jyoti Tyagi, 34, a resident of Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh, who works at a private firm in MDC Sector 5, said she was married to Aditya Prakash and both had matrimonial dispute. A divorce case was pending with at the Chandigarh women cell, which was registered on January 5, 2019.
Jyoti alleges that her father Satpal Tyagi, mother Surekha Tyagi, sister Preeti Tyagi and brother-in-law Satish Kumar along with four to five persons pressured her to live with her husband again. She said they had kept her 6-year-old daughter forcefully.
ACP Noopur Bishnoi has been asked by the DCP, Panchkula, to investigate the matter.
