IMA Ludhiana in association with Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center, New Delhi organized a CME on Cancer detection and management at IMA House, Ludhiana it was attended by 200 doctors, Sh. Balkar Singh Sandhu, Mayor municipal corporation, Ludhiana was the Chief Guest on the occasion, Dr. Manoj Sobti, Member Punjab Medical Council welcomed the Chief Guest and also apprised him of various problems being faced by the medical community particularly the parking issue.

Sh. Balkar Singh Sandhu assured the doctors of all help and promised to resolve the parking issue after due consultations with state government.

Dr. Vineet Talwar, Director-Medical Oncology, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center, Spoke at length about the causative factors and also stressed upon the early detection and management of cancer.

Dr. Munish Pruthi, Consultant- Musculoskeletal Oncology, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center, Delivered a highly informative talk on bone and soft tissue tumors. The main stress of his talk was to save the limb as for as possible.   

The session was chaired by Dr. Davinder Singh Sandhu, Dr. Sandhya Sood and Dr. Ritu Aggarwal. Other prominent doctors present were Dr. Satish Jain, Dr. Amit Dhiman, Dr. Karamvir Goyel, Dr. Pritpal Singh, Dr. Arun Gupta
