 “Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkar”: BJP unveils slogan for 2019 polls

The BJP on Sunday unveiled its campaign tag line, slogans and theme song for Lok Sabha polls, seeking Prime Minister Modi’s return with the slogan: “Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkar” or “Modi once again”. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley revealed the campaign themes at a presser at the party headquarters in New Delhi.

Plea filed in SC to bring political parties under RTI

A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking directions to declare all registered and recognised political parties as “public authority” under the Right to Information Act. The plea, filed by BJP leader and advocate Ashwini Upadhyay, said, “As per section 29C of the Representation of People Act, donations received by political parties are required to be reported to the Election Commission of India.
