Man sexually abuses daughter, case registered

Mangaluru: A case of a man sexually assaulting his daughter has come to light with the medical examination of the victim. SP B M Laxmi Prasad said the victim was produced before physicians at Lady Goschen hospital and president, Child Welfare Committee, in connection with a case registered under sections 4, 5, 10 of the Pocso Act as well as section 376 (punishment for rape) of the Indian Penal Code, for examination at Ullal police station.
The physical examination and information given by the victim during counselling revealed that in addition to the case registered in Ullal police station, the accused had been consistently abusing the victim at home, when only the two were present, and also by taking her to a lodge. Accordingly, a separate case has been registered in Bantwal Rural police station under sections 4, 6 of the Pocso Act and section 376 of IPC, Laxmi Prasad, said.
