Nominations for the Asia Insurance Industry Awards (AIIA) 2019 - the 23rd annual such event -- are open, with new awards categories introduced to keep the AIIA in step with the transformation sweeping the sector.

The two new categories are: Health Insurance Company of the Year and Emerging Reinsurance Company of the Year.

A third category, the Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility Award, expands the Corporate Social Responsibility Award by adding sustainability, an important consideration for insurers as more attention than ever is paid to the environment and climate change.

The 2019 awards categories are:

3. Digital Insurer Of The Year
4. Life Reinsurer Of The Year
5. General Reinsurer Of The Year
6. Broker of the Year
7. Educational Service Provider of the Year
8. Innovation Of The Year
9. Service Provider Of The Year
10. Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility Award
11. Insurtech Of The Year
12. Technology Initiative of the Year
13. Health Insurance Company of the Year
14. Emerging Reinsurance Company of the Year
15. Corporate Risk Manager Of The Year
16. Young Leader Of The Year
17. Woman Leader Of The Year
18. Lifetime Achievement Award.

For all categories, the qualifying period is from 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019. Winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Singapore on 29 October 2019.

The AIIA, which is all about recognising and saluting excellence in the market, is organised by Asia Insurance Review.

AIIA 2019 has a panel of 35 judges, whose verdict is final, as scrutinised by the independent auditor, KPMG. This year's Awards has attracted at least 14 sponsors, who are listed at http://www.asiainsurancereview.com/asiaawards2019 .

Nominations

Entries are invited from around the region and can focus on domestic or regional activities.

Entries in more than one category are allowed. Organisations, teams or individuals may be nominated for an award by a third party or by self-nomination through submission of an application.
