Reacting to Rahul Gandhi's remarks on Lal Krishna Advani, union minister Sushma Swaraj said. “ Rahul ji, Advani ji is our father figure. Your words have hurt us deeply. Please try to maintain some decorum of your speech.” Rahul Gandhi had said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had “booted” his guru (Advani) off the stage. The Congress made these remarks during a public rally. BJP has fielded party national president Amit Shah from Gandhinagar which was represented by the party patriarch in the Lok Sabha.
