Cash, clothes stolen from garment store

Ghaziabad: Robbers targeted a garment shop in Kavi Nagar and took away Rs 1 lakh in cash and valuables worth about Rs 8 lakh around 3 am on Friday.
Police said the shutter of Shri Ganesh Garments located in Kavi Nagar’s Shastri Nagar area was broken when the owner Vikas Singh reached the shop around 7 am.
The miscreants also took away the CCTV cameras installed inside the shop, however one put up outside the shop was saved and the theft was recorded in it.
The accused have been booked under IPC sections 454 (trespass) and 380 (theft). “We are scanning the CCTV footage to identify the accused,” said Rajkumar Sharma, the SHO of Kavi Nagar police station.
