Pilgrims from Tamil Nadu and Kerala turned out in large numbers for a congregation held as part of the 62nd Thekkan Kurisumala pilgrimage at Vellarada near here on Friday.
Director of the pilgrim centre Mon. Dr.Vincent K.Peter presided over the meeting. People’s representatives from the two States addressed the gathering, soures said.
This was followed by a holy mass and procession. Salvation Army Church Territorial Commander Nihal Hettiarachchi released a diamond jubilee souvenir highlighting the Kurisumala pilgrimage.
