Says financial policies of both Congress and BJP are same

The Congress party is trying to divide the anti-BJP votes in the Lok Sabha polls, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said.

He was addressing an election rally of LDF candidate A.M. Ariff at Haripad on Saturday.

“The Congress president Rahul Gandhi is sending out the message that their main rival is the Left front. This is why Rahul Gandhi has decided to contest the polls from Wayanad. The BJP is not a major force in Wayanad,” Mr. Vijayan said.

The Chief Minister said that the BJP government had promoted the interests of corporates and cash-rich people.

Silent on issue

“The Congress is keeping silent on the issue. The financial policies of the both the Congress and BJP are same,” he added.

CPI State council member A. Shajahan presided over. Public Works Minister G. Sudhakaran, Food and Civil Supplies Minister P. Thilothaman, LDF leaders M. Govindan Master, R. Nazar, T.J. Anjalose and others spoke.
