Popular podcast The Teacher's Pet has been taken offline ahead of Chris Dawson's trial for the murder of his wife.
On Friday The Australian, which published the podcast, announced it would temporarily remove the audio series from Australian sites to avoid prejudicing the trial.
'The Australian is committed to ensuring a fair trial for Mr Dawson,' the newspaper's editor-in-chief Christopher Dore said.
'He is entitled to the presumption of innocence just like any Australian facing a criminal trial.'
The podcast will still be accessible overseas, the publication said.

Teacher's Pet is a true-crime podcast that has been downloaded more than 28 million times and was number one in Australia for several weeks.
The popular series investigates the mysterious disappearance of Lynette Dawson from Sydney's northern beaches in 1982.

Dawson has been given bail and has repeatedly denied the allegations ahead of the murder trial.
The NSW director of public prosecutions sent a letter to The Australian requesting it remove all 16 episodes of the popular podcast.
'We’ve decided to restrict access to the podcast as we let justice run its course, but will continue to monitor the case and will put it online as soon as we can,' Mr Dore said.
Audio series host and journalist Hedley Thomas released a Special Update Episode following the announcement to back up the 'appropriate' decision.
'But the expert advice we’ve received is that it is the appropriate thing to help ensure that Chris Dawson gets a fair trial, whenever that may be,' Thomas said.
'This is vitally important to him — and for the criminal justice system.'
