The Election Commission has shunted four top West Bengal police officials that includes kolkata police commissioner Anuj Sharma. It is being seen as a huge blow to Mamata Benarjee’s government. In 2014, a few officials were shunted out of their job responsibility by the Election Commision. Anuj Sharma, a 1991 batch IPS officer, was appointed by the government after Rajeev Kumar was removed from the post of kolkata police commissioner. Sharma was present at the dharna held by the West Bengal chief minister.
