Actors add glitz to the election campaign of various political parties in the port city

As election campaigns gains pace, film stars supporting various political parties have been making a beeline to Visakhapatnam. It is the YSRCP, who has been making most of it by pulling crowds with the star studded-attractions.

It was comedian Ali, who first to came to enter Vizag and campaign for YSRCP candidate from Bheemili Assembly Constituency M. Srinivasa Rao last week. Ali has impressed the crowd with his style of speech with "comedy timing" in it, sending them into splits.

Following him, the recent YSRCP entrant M. Mohan Babu conducted a road show along with YSRCP Lok Sabha candidate MVV Satyanarayana at Gajuwaka on Friday night. There was a huge turnout for the road show to see Mohan Babu. Supporters of the YSRCP and the public were not disappointed, as the ‘Collection King’ lashed out at the ruling party in his inimitable style.

On Saturday, senior actress Jayasudha attended a women’s meet conducted by Mr. Srinivasa Rao. The actress who is also called ‘Sahaja Nati’ (natural actress), impressed the women voters of the constituency with her speech seeking vote for Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and the party. Popular TV anchor Shyamala also attended the event and spoke. Actress Ramya Sri has also been campaigning for YSRCP at Madugula constituency and at few other places.

It’s Jana Sena time

Jana Sena Party workers had been expecting Tollywood stars Ram Charan Tej, Allu Arjun, Varun Tej or Sai Dharam Tej to campaign in Gajuwaka Assembly Constituency, which is one of the two assembly constituencies, where party chief Pawan Kalyan is contesting. Varun Tej had campaigned in Narasapuram Parliamentary Constituency on April 5, where his father and actor Nagababu is contesting.

It was learnt that Jan Sena party workers had been demanding the higher-ups for other the ‘Mega’ heroes to campaign in Gajuwaka.

Tollywood actor and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakishna visited Visakhapatnam as a part of political campaign on Saturday. He along with his son-in-law, TDP Lok Sabha candidate for Visakhapatnam M. Sribharat, conducted a series of meetings with supporters.
