Mumbai: Ambivali woman delivers at Thane station

THANE: A woman delivered a baby boy at Thane station on Saturday evening after she developed labour pains while travelling to Kurla from home.
The passenger, Ishrat Shaikh, 20, was travelling from Ambivali to Kurla by a local train with her family when she developed labour pains as the train was approaching Thane station.
The railway staff was alerted who attended the coach by the time the train pulled into the station.
The lady was taken to the clinic where the doctors successfully conducted the delivery after which they shifted her to a nearby hospital.
